Abuse and neglect, as well as financial exploitation, are not extraordinary occurrences perpetrated only by criminals and psychopaths.  “Training to Prevent Older Adult Abuse and Neglect” (TPAAN) includes four modules provides insight into the following topics:

• Person-centered supports and services for vulnerable older adults
• Identification of signs and symptoms of older adult abuse and neglect
• Individual obligation for abuse and neglect reporting
• Development of skills, including active listening and de-escalation, to prevent older adult abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation
